Grow with us by joining the European Legal Department as Transactions Legal Counsel, supporting our European business. Due to recent internal promotions, we have a very exciting opportunity for you to join the team based within our European Head Office, Dublin Airport, Dublin (with some flexible work options). This would be an excellent opportunity for someone returning to the workplace, looking to move into an in-house role and seeking experience within a commercial environment.
The European Legal Team is a professional, friendly, energised and globally connected department led by the European General Counsel and made up of Country Business Lawyers, Regional Specialists and Paraprofessionals. In this role you will report to the Transactions Legal Director. The role will focus on drafting of commercial agreements together with providing advice and counsel on transactions, tax and treasury projects, and corporate governance.
You will partner and collaborate with all departments of our Kellogg business in Europe, our Legal teams in Europe, the USA, Latin America and Asia Pacific, as well as with external lawyers and other professional advisers, to ensure appropriate contractual terms and protections for the business. This is a demanding, extremely fun, busy and unique role which allows you to get involved with a huge range of activities and really grow your experience within a corporate multi-cultural environment.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
In your role as Transactions Legal Counsel, you will contribute to the success of Kellogg business by:
Providing strategic legal advice on transactions matters – including European contracts and corporate governance, to include commercial and structural organisation.
Managing legal work for commercial projects including drafting and reviewing documentation, legal advice, execution of any documents.
The provision of support on corporate governance issues and corporate regulatory compliance.
Developing and maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders within the European and Global business e.g., Supply Chain including Procurement, Tax and Treasury.
Manage corporate governance and compliance for the Kellogg Europe companies with support from our external service provider.

Required:
A high level of integrity is required to preserve the confidentiality of strategic business projects and plan for successful future projects.
Problem solving and well-developed organisational skills are paramount, as this role requires the ability to deal with a large volume of complex, high pressured situations of varying size at the same time to meet multiple timelines.
Ability to review information quickly and make necessary decisions in short time frames
Ability to build realistic expectations and ensure that the right people are involved in projects and processes.
Ability to partner effectively both internally and externally at all levels of the business, develop a comprehensive network and establish good working relationships both within the Legal Department and with other departments including Tax, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and HR in addition to external legal counsels and subject matter experts
Preferred:
Previous experience of working with an International Legal Department.
Additional European Languages skills would be a distinct advantage
Knowledge of Company Secretary Responsibilities.
