Job Details: 

Position Overview
The Edge Computing Enablement Collaboration manager will have responsibilities for the technologies and processes that exist around mobile devices, conferencing, AV solutions and Tier 2/3 support of the user base .  They will work closely with internal KTG groups, Kiewit districts, and third-party vendors to define standards and ensure the necessary capabilities exist within the technology offering.  This role will have a strong focus on ensuring that Kiewit has a solid and reliable stable of technologies from which to choose to meet the varied needs that may exist throughout our business.

Location
This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street Omaha, NE. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting. 
Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the relationship between Kiewit and our third-party mobile service providers
Manage communication related to data overages, phone upgrades and service changes impacting the business.
Negotiate, Track and control spending on wireless and other mobility related items, including but not limited to device upgrade costs, contracts, and standards
Create and maintain standards related to Audio Visual display options for use in conference rooms and other collaborative spaces.
Engage with districts and other business partners to apply the right solution to new conference rooms and spaces.
Support customer PC related issues with leveraging Tier 2 and Tier 3 support personnel.
Maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures.
Identify, isolate, and engage other internal groups to ensure the long term health and stability of platforms and processes under your control.
Manage the assignment and suspension of audio conferencing related services.
Represent the Edge Computing Enablement team as a lead resource on corporate project teams and advisory boards.
Make timely decisions with well-developed judgment, while considering alternatives, risks, and other critical decision factors.
Engage in appropriate escalation management activities.
Work with IT vendors/hosting partners as needed to gain issue resolution and ensure performance of 3rd party solutions.
Pro-actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and department and act upon findings to initiate improvements, presenting ideas in a persuasive way to gain support.
Maintain professional knowledge and skills through proactive self-study of relevant technologies and processes.

Qualifications

​​​​​
Highly motivated, self-starting, and self-directed with a strong sense of ownership
Minimum five (5) years of experience in an information technology role.
Experience managing vendor and third-party provider relationships.
Experience leading a small team of individuals in a fast-paced and high expectations role.
Experience with persistent and non-persistent desktops, desktop/server image creation, persona management, and GPU provisioning for VDI desktops.
Experience with Microsoft Azure preferred
Strong understanding of emerging technologies, standards, and best practices.
Ability to multi-task, work independently and as a part of multiple teams.
Ability to manage a variety of technically challenging tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to solve unique problems with creative solutions.
Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work efficiently.
Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders, in appropriate media and form.
Ability to work off-hours when required and be part of an on-call rotation.
Bachelor’s degree in computer related field is preferred
