Are you a meticulous accounting professional who wants your career to count for something more? Our organization is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our fiscal team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of a multi-location nonprofit. This is a multifaceted role where you will manage everything from General Ledger integrity and insurance portfolios to asset management and audit coordination.

salary: $65,000 - $72,000 per year

Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Accounts Payable Oversight: Audit invoices and payment requests for accuracy and proper coding; authorize final disbursements via Cash Pro and resolve banking exceptions

  • Expense Management: Lead the administration of the statewide Concur system, including monthly approvals and data integration with Financial Edge

  • Tax & Reporting: Facilitate the preparation and distribution of annual 1099s and maintain all property tax documentation

  • Audit Readiness: Organize and maintain comprehensive audit files to ensure a seamless annual review process

General Ledger & Reporting

  • Cycle Management: Manage the General Ledger by preparing and approving journal entries and spearheading month-end and year-end closing procedures

  • Financial Insight: Produce and distribute monthly financial statements and specialized reports to leadership

  • Cross-Functional Support: Serve as the primary backup for both Payroll and Accounts Payable functions to ensure zero disruption in operations

Asset & Risk Management

  • Fixed Assets & Property: Maintain detailed records for all TBCH property, including capital request tracking and property-related files

  • Insurance Coordination: Manage a diverse insurance portfolio (multiperil, liability, and vehicle), handling everything from coverage updates and renewals to active claims

  • Fleet & Contracts: Coordinate the acquisition and sale of organization vehicles and maintain all non-maintenance vehicle records and contract data
