Manufacturing company with locations nationwide is targeting an Area Manager for their plant in the Columbia SC area. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Operations/Production leadership experience in heavy industry, preferably steel or metals manufacturing.

responsibilities:

Oversee daily production schedules to meet or exceed targets.
Manage a team of hourly personnel and frontline supervisors.
Drive Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives to reduce scrap and improve yield.
Manage the operational budget and collaborate with Engineering on projects to upgrade technology or expand capacity.
Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and the implementation of LOTO and confined space protocols.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing, preferably steel or metals industry.
Leadership experience over both hourly and salaried employees.
