responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the AP Manager, you will play a critical role in scaling the department. You will supervise a dedicated team of 10 AP Specialists, overseeing a high-volume workflow of approximately 8,000 invoices per week. As they continue to grow, you will also assist in hiring and onboarding several additional AP Specialists to expand your team.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and review the work of 10 AP Specialists to ensure accuracy and productivity.
- Workflow Management: Oversee the processing of 8,000+ invoices weekly, ensuring timely payments and resolution of discrepancies.
- Approvals: Review and approve payment batches and individual invoice entries.
- Reconciliations: Perform complex vendor statement reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline high-volume workflows to support additional company growth.
- Reporting: Support the AP Manager with weekly financial reporting and department KPIs.
qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as an AP Lead, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager is required.
- High-Volume Expertise: Proven ability to manage large-scale invoice processing (thousands weekly).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite and Bill.com is highly preferred.
- Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of reviewing and improving the work of others.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
