Safety Coordinator | HR & Safety Compliance Support (Oversee plant safety, employee onboarding, OSHA tracking, and ensure HR compliance in a manufacturing setting.)
Location: Woodridge, IL _ Schedule: Monday?Friday, 7:30 AM ? 4:00 PM (flexible start between 7:30?8:30 AM); OT as needed Pay: Up to $72,000/year (based on experience)
Role Summary:
Randstad USA is seeking a bilingual Safety Coordinator to support HR and safety initiatives for a manufacturing plant in Woodridge, IL. You?ll help with recruiting, onboarding, payroll tracking, and lead site-wide safety programs that follow OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- 5+ years of experience in HR, safety, or plant operations
- Associate?s degree in HR, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or similar preferred
- OSHA knowledge required; prior manufacturing safety experience strongly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor and office
- Frequent walking throughout the facility
- Exposure to noise and moving machinery (PPE provided)

Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
- Post openings, coordinate interviews, and assist with onboarding new hires
- Maintain employee files, attendance records, and training logs
- Track and submit payroll/timecard data
- Support benefits, employee relations, and HR policy enforcement
Safety Coordination
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and daily plant walkthroughs
- Maintain OSHA logs and lead investigations on workplace incidents
- Coordinate safety training (forklift, PPE, emergency procedures, etc.)
- Implement corrective actions and preventive safety measures
- Be the go-to contact for safety-related questions or concerns
General Duties
- Assist with compliance reporting, HR audits, and documentation
- Support disciplinary processes and workplace investigations
- Collaborate with supervisors and floor leads to ensure safe practices
