Employment Information
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This dual-role position requires a technical expert capable of taking a project from a digital blueprint to a finished high-tolerance part using both CNC Mills and Lathes.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Mastercam, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming: Develop, verify, and optimize 2D/3D toolpaths using Mastercam for 3-axis mills and multi-axis lathes.

  • Setup & Operation: Perform full setups, including tool selection, work-holding installation, and establishing offsets on Haas/Fanuc-style controllers.

  • Multi-Machine Proficiency: Transition seamlessly between milling and turning centers to meet production schedules.

  • Quality Control: Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances and GD&T specifications.

  • Process Improvement: Refine existing programs to reduce cycle times, extend tool life, and eliminate scrap.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in CNC programming and operation.

  • Software: Advanced proficiency in Mastercam is required.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read complex blueprints, understand G-code/M-code, and design custom fixtures.

  • Precision: Proven track record of working with tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.0005$".

  • Attitude: A problem-solver with a "right-the-first-time" mentality and strong attention to detail.

Why Join Us? We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a clean, modern shop environment equipped with the latest machining technology. If you are a craftsman who takes pride in precision and efficiency, we want to hear from you. To Apply: Please submit your resume to daniel.hausmann@randstadusa.com

Responsibilities

  • Mastercam Programming: Develop complex 2D and 3D toolpaths for 3-axis mills and multi-axis lathes (including live tooling).

  • Blueprint Analysis: Interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols to determine optimal machining sequences and tolerances.

  • Tooling Selection: Choose appropriate cutting tools, feed rates, and spindle speeds based on material properties (e.g., aluminum, steel, titanium).

  • Fixture Design: Design and occasionally build custom work-holding solutions to ensure part stability during aggressive machining.

Machine Operation

  • Machine Setup: Load programs, set tool offsets, and establish work coordinates (G54-G59) on both Lathe and Mill controllers (Fanuc, Haas, etc.).

  • First-Article Inspection: Run the "first-off" part and perform a complete dimensional inspection before proceeding with production.

  • Process Optimization: Monitor machine performance and "prove out" programs, making real-time adjustments to code or offsets to reduce cycle times and tool wear.

  • Maintenance: Perform routine daily maintenance on machines, including coolant management and chip removal.
