Key Responsibilities
- Automation Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform minor programming edits on PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron) to maintain seamless production flow.
- Electrical Maintenance: Repair and maintain high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including 480V 3-phase motors, transformers, and control circuits.
- System Optimization: Configure and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and servo motors to improve machine performance.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs on automated machinery, sensors, and safety interlocks to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Schematic Interpretation: Utilize electrical blueprints and ladder logic diagrams to trace faults and implement hardware upgrades.
- Mechanical Integration: Service pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, ensuring they interface correctly with electrical control signals.
- Safety Leadership: Maintain a "Safety First" culture by strictly following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and NFPA 70E / Arc Flash requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Technical Skills: Proven ability to connect a laptop to a PLC for real-time monitoring and fault-finding.
- Electrical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to run conduit and wire panels.
- Tools: Proficient with multimeters, megohmmeters, and thermal imaging cameras.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to emergency on-call repairs as needed.
