Are you a problem-solver who enjoys working with complex machinery? We are looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Macon. In this role, you will be the backbone of our production line, ensuring our high-tech equipment runs at peak efficiency. From troubleshooting automated systems to performing critical preventative maintenance, your work directly impacts our facility's success.

What You?ll Do
  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production equipment (conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and sensors).

  • Electrical Systems: Work with 3-phase power, AC/DC drives, and assist with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) troubleshooting.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs to minimize unplanned downtime and extend machinery lifespan.

  • Fabrication: Perform basic welding and machining to repair or modify equipment as needed.

  • Safety First: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA safety protocols.

What We?re Looking For
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Technical Degree or Journeyman card is a huge plus.

  • Technical Skills: * strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.

    • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

    • Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders.

  • Attributes: A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform routine inspections and service on pumps, motors, conveyor systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components to prevent equipment failure.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical malfunctions using blueprints, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, calipers).

  • Repairs & Installations: Replace defective parts, align shafts, and install new machinery. This often includes welding, pipefitting, and basic electrical work (3-phase motors, sensors).

  • Documentation: Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) like SAP or Maximo to log work orders and track parts inventory.

  • Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety standards to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
