The Role As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the reliability of advanced packaging equipment, including high-speed converters and state-of-the-art stretch-wrap monitoring systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly impacts efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on stretch wrappers, shrink tunnels, case erectors, and corrugated converting equipment.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair 3-phase motors, sensors, relays, and PLC systems (specifically Allen-Bradley or Siemens).
- Mechanical Systems: Maintain and repair pneumatic systems, hydraulic power units, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
- Innovation & Efficiency: Collaborate with our engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades that reduce material waste and improve energy efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards and company-wide safety initiatives.
- Documentation: Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, parts inventory, and machine downtime data.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a packaging, printing, or high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics, and ladder logic.
- Tools: Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, etc.).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills (The Competitive Edge)
- Experience with Fanuc or similar robotic palletizing systems.
- Familiarity with stretch film application technology and load-containment standards.
