Role: Press Brake Operator II (Direct Hire) Location: Bloomingdale, IL Shift: 2nd Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM Pay Rate: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour & 5% shift differential per hour Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire (Permanent)

Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Programming

  • Based on production specifications and/or Lead's instructions, select and set up tooling, equipment, and machines required for quality production.

  • Set up tooling (punches and dies) needed for specific bends.

  • Review machine tooling requirements and plan set-up/operations to optimize the flow of work through the cell/department.

  • Ability to create new programs on the machine control (CNC or conventional) or make precise adjustments to existing programs.

  • Learn to adjust and control RAM speeds on the press as it comes down to bend the parts.



Precision Forming & Quality Control

  • Perform all dimensional inspections using precision instruments such as calipers, height gauges, protractors, and steel rulers to ensure finished parts meet required tolerances.

  • Load and apply knowledge of material thickness, bends, and tolerances into the machine setup.

  • Understand the deflect of material and spring back along the piece and compensate through adjustments.

  • Make machine/tooling adjustments to bring non-conforming output into specifications.

  • Demonstrate a full understanding of compound tolerances.

  • Understand different types of bending (air bending, bottoming, coining) and how various materials react to forming, including growth or shrinking.
