Location: Woodridge, IL _ Schedule: Monday?Friday, 6:30 AM ? 3:30 PM (standard hours: 7:00 AM ? 3:30 PM); OT as needed Salary: $70,000?$80,000/year (flat salary, based on experience)

Role Summary:

Randstad USA is hiring a Production Planner for a growing plastics manufacturer in Woodridge, IL. This is a full-time direct hire role with long-term career potential. You?ll be responsible for optimizing production flow, ensuring jobs are scheduled accurately, and collaborating across departments to meet demand. Experience in SAP and scheduling for blow molding/filling lines is required. Familiarity with Redzone AI scheduling is a plus.

  Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing setting
  • strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and quality control
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and ERP systems
  • Familiar with Redzone AI or other smart scheduling systems (preferred)
  • Scheduling experience in blow molding or filling lines (required)
  • strong Excel and general MS Office skills
  • Solid math, organization, and communication skills
  • High school diploma required; associate?s or bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Background:

  • Plastics, consumer goods, or high-volume manufacturing
  • Knowledge of AI-driven platforms and automation scheduling
  • bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules for multiple product lines
  • Optimize production workflow for performance, cost-efficiency, and quality
  • Monitor inventory levels and plan production to meet shifting demand
  • Determine labor, equipment, and material needs ahead of production
  • Schedule shifts and jobs to meet deadlines and avoid bottlenecks
  • Track production output, downtime, and scrap for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with QC, warehousing, and plant leadership to keep operations aligned
  • Input new product info into SAP and maintain system accuracy
  • Participate in production meetings and serve as a scheduling liaison between teams
  • Proactively solve scheduling conflicts or delays
