Role Summary:
Randstad USA is hiring a Production Planner for a growing plastics manufacturer in Woodridge, IL. This is a full-time direct hire role with long-term career potential. You?ll be responsible for optimizing production flow, ensuring jobs are scheduled accurately, and collaborating across departments to meet demand. Experience in SAP and scheduling for blow molding/filling lines is required. Familiarity with Redzone AI scheduling is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing setting
- strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, and quality control
- Hands-on experience with SAP and ERP systems
- Familiar with Redzone AI or other smart scheduling systems (preferred)
- Scheduling experience in blow molding or filling lines (required)
- strong Excel and general MS Office skills
- Solid math, organization, and communication skills
- High school diploma required; associate?s or bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Background:
- Plastics, consumer goods, or high-volume manufacturing
- Knowledge of AI-driven platforms and automation scheduling
- bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules for multiple product lines
- Optimize production workflow for performance, cost-efficiency, and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and plan production to meet shifting demand
- Determine labor, equipment, and material needs ahead of production
- Schedule shifts and jobs to meet deadlines and avoid bottlenecks
- Track production output, downtime, and scrap for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with QC, warehousing, and plant leadership to keep operations aligned
- Input new product info into SAP and maintain system accuracy
- Participate in production meetings and serve as a scheduling liaison between teams
- Proactively solve scheduling conflicts or delays
