Randstad's Client is a premier manufacturer of high-reliability electronic systems for the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We operate in an environment where zero defects is the expectation and compliance with the most stringent global standards is mandatory. We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Electronics Quality Inspector specializing in In-Process Inspection to join our production team.  
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection within a high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or medical is strongly preferred).

  • Certification: Current or recent certification/proficiency with IPC-A-610 Class 3 and/or J-STD-001.

  • Technical Aptitude: Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply complex technical documents, including aerospace blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications.

  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with the requirements of AS9100 or other critical Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Tools Proficiency: Skilled in the use of specialized inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and high-magnification microscopes.

  • Soft Skills: High level of attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • In-Process Inspection: Perform scheduled and critical hold-point inspections on electronic components, Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), wire harnesses, and box-build sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings and strict quality plans.

  • Aerospace Standard Compliance: Ensure all work performed adheres precisely to AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and relevant FAA/EASA regulations for electronic components.

  • IPC Standards Certification: Conduct visual and dimensional inspection using high-magnification equipment to verify compliance with aerospace-specific workmanship standards, including IPC-A-610 Class 3 and J-STD-001 for soldering.

  • Documentation & Traceability: Accurately document all inspection results, test data, and non-conformances (NCRs). Maintain rigorous traceability of parts and processes for critical components.

  • Process Verification: Monitor manufacturing processes for adherence to approved procedures, including proper use of calibrated tooling, electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris/Damage) prevention protocols.

  • Defect Analysis & Rework: Work collaboratively with Quality Engineering and Production to investigate root causes of defects identified during in-process checks and verify the effectiveness of corrective and rework actions.
