We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with deep Workday experience to manage our multi-state payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote Multi-State Payroll: Process data entry for multi-state payroll under strict deadlines, ensuring total compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
- Vendor Coordination: Partner with external vendors on state filings and oversee the accurate execution of multiple payroll cycles across various time zones.
- Data Integrity: Review payroll inputs from various internal sources to ensure 100% accuracy for every pay period.
- Employee Support: Serve as a primary contact for employees nationwide, assisting with online changes to tax withholdings, direct deposit information, and payroll inquiries.
- Benefits Reconciliation: Reconcile 401(k) contributions and ensure the proper allocation of funds to employee accounts.
- Audit & Reporting: Maintain meticulous payroll records and generate custom reports for internal reviews and audits.
- Process Improvement: Support the implementation of Workday system enhancements and identify opportunities for workflow automation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work virtually with HR and Finance teams to resolve complex payroll issues and ensure seamless data integration.

- Workday Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Workday Payroll is a mandatory requirement.
- Multi-State Experience: Proven track record in multi-state payroll processing within a large, distributed organization.
- Remote Efficacy: Ability to work independently and manage strict deadlines in a home-office environment.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
