We are seeking a high-autonomy Technical Business Development Specialist to launch and lead our new sales initiative. This is not a "commodity" sales role; it requires a professional who understands manufacturing processes and can speak the language of engineers and OEM purchasing managers. You will be responsible for building a pipeline from the ground up with minimal supervision, translating technical requirements into winning RFQs. Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical) or Industrial Technology is highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Technical Literacy: Proven ability to read blueprints, understand manufacturing workflows, and engage in high-level technical discussions with Engineering departments.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in long-cycle technical sales and closing deals with OEMs.

  • Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to build sales processes and territory strategies from scratch without a "playbook."



salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development: Identify and qualify new OEM and industrial opportunities through strategic research, networking, and technical outreach.

  • Technical Consultation: Act as the primary liaison between customers and our internal operations/estimating teams to ensure complex technical requirements are met.

  • RFQ Management: Lead the end-to-end RFQ process?from gathering engineering specs to submitting final quotations and closing the deal.

  • Strategic Growth: Analyze industry trends and competitor activity to pivot sales strategies and expand existing accounts.

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company at industry trade shows and client site visits (some travel required).

  • CRM Management: Maintain rigorous data integrity in the CRM to provide accurate forecasting and market insights.
