Randstad is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a leading logistics brokerage specializing in freight shipping across North America. This role would support the financial operations in a high-volume brokerage environment. This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity offer a salary + full benefits package. Responsibilities

• Freight Financials: Process and record carrier invoices, freight payments, and adjustments for domestic and international shipments.
• AR & Collections: Generate client invoices, track terms, and proactively contact clients to resolve past-due accounts and minimize bad debt.
• Reconciliations: Balance AP/AR records and monitor aging reports for both shippers and carriers.
• Cost Analysis: Evaluate transportation expenditures and carrier rates to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Compliance: Prepare industry-specific financial statements and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with DOT and customs requirements.
• Automation: Use QuickBooks and ERP systems to streamline carrier payments and collection workflows.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1+ years of accounting experience (preferred industries in logistics, trucking, or 3PL brokerage).
• Education: Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
