We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our family practice team. This role is essential to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of both administrative and clinical tasks. This candidate Must have worked in internal medicine, urgent care, family practice or emergency room and must have a minimal of 2 to 3 years of experience.  This position is located in Cumming, GA. 



salary: $47,840 - $52,000 per year

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

• Patient Intake: Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, take and record vital signs, and document patient history and chief complaints.
• Assisting Physicians: Prepare patients for examinations, assist with in-office procedures, and provide support to the physician as needed.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), administering injections, and collecting lab specimens.
• Accurately chart patient information, update medical records, and ensure all data is correctly entered into the EHR system.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment, sanitize exam rooms and equipment, and adhere to all HIPAA and safety protocols.

Administrative Duties:

• Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, schedule follow-up visits, and coordinate with specialists.
• Front Office Support: Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Proficiently use our EPIC system to manage patient data, prescriptions, and lab results.
