We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our family practice team. This role is essential to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of both administrative and clinical tasks. This candidate Must have worked in internal medicine, urgent care, family practice or emergency room and must have a minimal of 2 to 3 years of experience. This position is located in Cumming, GA.

salary: $47,840 - $52,000 per year

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

Patient Intake: Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, take and record vital signs, and document patient history and chief complaints.
Assisting Physicians: Prepare patients for examinations, assist with in-office procedures, and provide support to the physician as needed.
Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), administering injections, and collecting lab specimens.
Accurately chart patient information, update medical records, and ensure all data is correctly entered into the EHR system.
Maintain a clean and sterile environment, sanitize exam rooms and equipment, and adhere to all HIPAA and safety protocols.

Administrative Duties:

Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, schedule follow-up visits, and coordinate with specialists.
Front Office Support: Answer phones, manage patient inquiries, and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
Electronic Health Records (EHR): Proficiently use our EPIC system to manage patient data, prescriptions, and lab results.
