Our client, a leader in the machine manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer that brings a minimum of 5 years of experience with laser, press brake, flat sheet, bending or similar machine tools (CNC and 5-axis laser experience machine experience is required).

Requirements:

• Must reside within 1 hour of an international airport
  
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Mazak, Trumpf, Bystronic, and Amada machines
  
  
• PLC experience required (Siemens preferred)
  
  
• mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and familiarity with electrical panels

responsibilities:

• Support Sales Staff: Assist the sales team in servicing equipment and providing technical support to customers.
  
  
• Installation: Install new equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  
  
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, conduct emergency repairs, and provide on-site service for equipment as needed.
  
  
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service activities, including current service performed and future service requirements for equipment.
  
  
• Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize excellent customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction during interactions.
  
  
• Software Demonstration: Demonstrate relevant software capabilities to customers as needed.
  
  
• Administrative Tasks: Prepare timesheets, service reports, and installation forms promptly and accurately. Keep track of expenses and complete expense reports in a timely manner.
  
  
• Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.
  
  
• Interdepartmental Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments as necessary to resolve technical issues.
  
  
• Flexibility: Be willing to work overtime when required by workload and customer needs.
