We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setup Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is more than just a button-pusher; we need someone who understands the machine, can independently set up jobs on 3-Axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs), and is proficient with Fanuc controls. You will be responsible for ensuring parts are made to print by managing tool changes, offsets, and program verification.
salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Perform complete setups on 3-Axis Vertical Milling Machines, including installing vices, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
- Fanuc Proficiency: Navigate Fanuc control panels to load programs, set data, and troubleshoot alarms.
- Tool Management: Assemble, measure, and load tooling; perform necessary tool changes during production runs.
- Offsets & Adjustments: Accurately dial in tool height offsets (length and diameter) and work coordinate systems (G54, G55, etc.) to maintain tight tolerances.
- Program Review: Read and interpret G-Code and M-Code to ensure the machine is performing the correct operations; make minor edits at the controller if necessary.
- Quality Control: Inspect the first piece and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure dimensions match the blueprints.
The essential functions of this role include:
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
- working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
