We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Operator specializing in high-value material fabrication. This role primarily involves the setup and operation of 2-axis Lathes using Fanuc controls to produce precision components from gold and other precious metals.

Because we work with gold, the ideal candidate must demonstrate extreme precision, a "zero-waste" mindset regarding scrap collection, and a high level of integrity. You will also occasionally support our milling department by operating a 3-axis CNC Mill equipped with Fagor controls.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lathe Setup & Operation: Perform full setups on 2-axis Lathes, including tool installation, workholding adjustment, and setting part zeros.
• Control Proficiency: Navigate and operate Fanuc control systems fluently.
• G-Code Editing: Read and perform minor G-code edits at the controller to optimize tool paths or adjust for tool wear.
• Secondary Mill Support: Operate a 3-axis CNC Mill with Fagar controls
• Quality Assurance: Use calipers and micrometers to maintain tight tolerances, ensuring every gram of material is used efficiently.

Technical Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2?3 years of experience in CNC turning (Lathe).
• Programming: Ability to interpret and manually edit G-code.
• Controls: Proficiency in Fanuc is required
• Material Handling: Experience working with metals (Gold, Silver, Brass, or Platinum) is preferred.
