We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our team in producing high-end, custom architectural railings and ornamental metalwork. This role is perfect for a craftsman who values aesthetic perfection as much as structural integrity.
The Role You will be responsible for taking raw materials and transforming them into beautiful, functional architectural features. Our projects range from sleek modern cable systems to complex, curved grand staircases.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Fabrication: Interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings to fabricate handrails and guardrails that meet ADA and IBC compliance.
- Precision Geometry: Calculate and execute complex miters, compound angles, and radius bends for staircases and balcony systems.
- Professional Welding: Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel with a focus on clean, low-distortion beads.
- Seamless Finishing: Grind and blend welds to create seamless transitions, achieving architectural-grade finishes (e.g., #4 brushed or mirror polish).
- Equipment Operation: Expertly operate tube benders, cold saws, notched, and grinders to produce clean, tight-fitting components.
- Quality Control: Conduct "dry fits" in-shop to ensure all sections align perfectly with field measurements before they head to powder coating or installation.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in custom metal fabrication (architectural or ornamental experience preferred).
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in TIG welding thin-wall tubing and a mastery of manual layout techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to hold tight tolerances (within 1/16") and a "show-grade" eye for finishing.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot fitment issues on the fly and suggest structural improvements.
Why Join Us? We offer a climate-controlled shop environment, high-end equipment, and the opportunity to work on unique, high-profile projects. If you take pride in seeing your work installed in luxury homes and commercial landmarks, we want to hear from you.

- Precision Layout: Perform complex layouts on all mechanical and metal parts
- High-End TIG/MIG Welding: Execute aesthetic-grade welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, focusing on minimal heat tint and maximum structural strength.
- Seamless Finishing: Expertly grind, sand, and polish weld joints to a seamless "invisible" finish, matching specific architectural requirements (e.g., #4 brushed or mirror finish).
- Fabrication: Operate mandrels, rollers, and manual benders to create smooth, kink-free curves in various profiles (round, square, and rectangular tubing).
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure shop-fabricated sections align perfectly with field conditions and mounting surfaces.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate alloys and gauges to balance structural integrity with aesthetic design, ensuring durability for both interior and exterior environments.
- Quality Inspection: Verify all dimensions against "as-built" measurements to guarantee a perfect fit-up before powder coating or plating.
