We are seeking a results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team in Newberry, SC. This crucial role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization across all production processes, specializing in metal fabrication, cutting, bending, and welding operations. We're seeking an engineer with experience in controls, automation and PLCs.
2+ years of experience as an industrial engineer in a manufacturing facility and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in applying IE techniques, including process mapping, facility layout design, and Statistical Process Control (SPC), ideally within a heavy manufacturing environment (steel, metals, automotive, etc.).

Process Optimization & Efficiency: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to analyze, standardize, and optimize production workflows-from raw material cutting and bending to final welding and assembly-to eliminate bottlenecks and maximize equipment utilization.
Work Standards & Cost Management: Develop and implement accurate time standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ergonomic workstation designs based on time and motion studies to improve product quality, ensure employee safety, and accurately determine product costing.
Facility Planning & Capacity: Design, analyze, and optimize the physical plant layout and material flow to ensure maximum efficiency in handling metal fabrications, contributing to effective production scheduling and capital investment justifications. PLC integration and capex automation projects.
