Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Mount, install, and align cutting tools, attachments, and workpieces into the lathe.
  
  
• Operation: Monitor the machining process, adjusting speeds, feeds, and tool paths to ensure optimal cutting performance.
  
  
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
  
  
• Quality Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges) to verify that parts match blueprint specifications.
  
  
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance (clearing chips, checking coolant levels) and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
