Responsibilities

As the Lead Manual Machinist, you will operate with minimal supervision and be the technical authority on the floor.

Core Responsibilities:

• Expert Operation: Set up and operate manual lathes and mills to produce parts with extreme precision.
  
  
• Precision Machining: Perform all aspects of complex turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing.
  
  
• Technical Interpretation: Masterfully interpret intricate blueprints, work orders, and GD&T specifications.
  
  
• Quality Assurance: Use all required measuring equipment to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances consistently.
  
  
• Team Leadership: Act as a mentor and leader for our team of machinists and apprentices, sharing your expertise and ensuring quality output.
  
  
• Process Ownership: Troubleshoot machining processes, maintain equipment, and document all production and quality logs.
  
  
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all production meets the highest safety and quality standards.
