Your Role and Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production process, from initial blueprint review to final quality control. Key duties include:

• Planning & Preparation: Review samples and technical drawings to plan the sequence of actions for each job.
  
  
• Setup: Take precise measurements, select appropriate machines (such as lathes), and load materials.
  
  
• Operation: Program batch sizes and machine speeds. You will monitor the equipment during operation to adjust feeds, maintain temperature, and troubleshoot issues.
  
  
• Quality Control: Inspect final products for consistency, discard defects, and maintain accurate records of approved units.
  
  
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine upkeep and handle minor repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
  
  

Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses analytical skills and a "measure twice, cut once" mentality. You should be comfortable working with complex machinery and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
• Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job
• Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
