The role of the Metallurgical Engineer includes developing practices to improve safety, quality, efficiency, yield, productivity, and costs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Material Science Engineering, or similar technical field.

  • 2 years related experience in manufacturing.
PREFERENCES:

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO/TS/IATF 16949, ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems

  • 2+ years of experience in the metals industry.

  • Customer interface experience.

responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze metallurgical properties of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to customer specifications and industry standards.

  • Investigate and determine root causes of internal and external product defects or failures, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.

  • Serve as a primary technical contact for customers regarding product performance, material selection, application questions, and metallurgical issues.

  • Participate in new product development initiatives, including material selection, process definition, and testing protocols.

  • Visit customer sites to understand their applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
