We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our legal team in Cleveland, TN. You will provide essential support to our attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files; track deadlines and maintain the firm?s calendar.
- Document Preparation: Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and summaries of depositions.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on Tennessee statutes, case law, and regulations to support active litigation or transactional matters.
- Trial Support: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including the assembly of trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Client Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing case status updates and gathering necessary information or documentation.
- Administrative Support: Coordinate service of process and file documents with the Bradley County Clerk and other local/state courts.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred (Entry-level candidates with strong internship backgrounds will be considered).
- Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Tennessee court rules and e-filing procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Certification: CP (Certified Paralegal) or Tennessee-specific certification is a plus but not required.
