This is a perfect "bridge" role for someone who has a foundation in metalwork and is looking to sharpen their skills in a professional fabrication shop. Responsibilities

• Finishing & Polishing: Use grinders, sanders, buffers, and specialized polishing wheels to remove weld marks, scratches, and burrs from metal surfaces (stainless steel, aluminum, etc.).
  
  
• Surface Consistency: Achieve specific finishes ranging from brushed/satin to a high-mirror reflectiveness based on project blueprints.
  
  
• Basic Fabrication Support: Assist with light drilling, cutting, and deburring of parts to prepare them for the welding team.
  
  
• Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces for any pits, scratches, or imperfections before they move to the shipping department.
  
  
• Tool Maintenance: Clean and maintain polishing equipment and manage abrasive inventories (sandpaper, compounds, pads).
