Immediate need for a Steel Sales represenative who will be based in Wrightsville PA and service customers in the New England area, New York and New Jersey. For the most part this is a remote position, where you maintain current accounts and develop new ones. Looking for someone who has a background in the steel industry. Salary will be based on experience.

responsibilities:

• Solicits and negotiates tonnages
  
  
• Monitors customer orders to anticipate delays and prevent errors.
  
  
• Negotiates pricing
  
  
• Acquires working knowledge of possible applications of metal products to maximize sales potential.
  
  
• Interacts with technical, accounting, and traffic departments to gain information needed to respond to customer questions and complaints.
  
  
• Develops knowledge of customers continuing needs and practices to assure the most efficient service possible, and to build customer loyalty and satisfaction. Include travel to customer facilities and participation in mill meetings and tours.
  
  
• Coordinates with Inside Sales & Service Specialists to assure optimum lead time and assist in resolving customer complaints.
  
  
• Generates and analyzes sales reports to obtain the knowledge to provide accurate lead times.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
  
  
• Experience in industrial sales preferably in the steel industry
  
  
• Experience growing accounts and working with customers
  
  
• Ability to travel to customer sites
