A leading industrial and structural steel general contractor that specializes in complex industrial services, including Plant Maintenance, Custom Metal Fabrication, Process Pipe Installation, Rigging, Structural Steel erection, and works within heavy industrial environments like steel mills is looking for a full time Safety Supervisor.

responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  
  
• Develop, coordinate, and conduct comprehensive safety training programs for employees on high-risk industrial equipment and practices, including but not limited to:
  
  
• Power Tools Safety
  
  
• Forklift Operation
  
  
• Manlift (Aerial Work Platform) Operation
  
  
• Rigging and Lifting Procedures
  
  
• Crane Work Safety
  
  
• Confined Space Entry and Rescue Procedures

Conduct regular, proactive job site safety observations and inspections

Lead job hazard analysis (JHA) and pre-task planning meetings

Accurately record and maintain all employee safety training records, certifications, and documentation

Document, investigate, and report all incidents, accidents, near-misses, and employee safety violations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in an industrial/steel or heavy construction setting
  
  
• Must possess a valid OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  
  
• Experience with forklifts, manlifts, rigging and cranes
  
  
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards (1926/1910) for industrial work, steel erection, and heavy equipment
  
  
• Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout piedmont of North and South Carolina
  
  
• Some weekend will be necessary during outages
