Seeking a Senior Nuclear Test Engineer for a high growth defense contractor in the Danbury, CT area.

The Nuclear Test Engineer would be responsible for System Analysis & Strategy: Analyze embedded military systems to define and implement high-efficiency testing methodologies. Hardware & Environment Design: Design and develop custom test environments, specialized fixtures, and support equipment. Experience in the Commercial Nuclear industry is required.

responsibilities:
  • System Analysis & Strategy: Analyze embedded military systems to define and implement high-efficiency testing methodologies.

  • Hardware & Environment Design: Design and develop custom test environments, specialized fixtures, and support equipment.

  • Technical Documentation: Author and maintain comprehensive test procedures, detailed analysis reports, and compliance documentation.

  • Testing Execution: Plan and oversee the end-to-end execution of both qualification and production-level testing.

  • Design Support: Participate in design reviews and provide "Design for Testability" (DfT) input to optimize product development.

  • Manufacturing Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing Test teams and lead technical training sessions to ensure seamless production handoffs.

  • Project Management: Manage task-level budgets, project schedules, and regular status reporting.

  • Supplier Management: Specify technical requirements for and evaluate the performance of supplier components and third-party test services.

  • Problem Solving & Execution: Utilize advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills to meet technical, cost, and schedule targets both independently and within teams.
