Our client in Novi, MI is seeking an Applications Engineer for their tube and wire forming products team.

This role involves acting as the company's leading technical product expert, providing advanced training and technical support to customers and the sales team, developing sales and demonstration tools, and ensuring successful equipment commissioning and troubleshooting

Required:

5+ years tube bender experience across multiple applications including tube bender setup, tube bender service, tube bender maintenance, or CNC tube bender part programming (CAD/CAM). AA degree or related work experience

responsibilities:

• Product Expertise & Knowledge Transfer: Serve as a subject matter expert on all Tube & Wire Forming products (both internal and competitive), and support the Product Managers by offering advanced technical counsel and solutions.
  
  
• Demonstrations & Training: Develop and execute product/software demonstrations and training sessions for customers at the Solution Center in Novi, MI, customer sites, and at trade shows/events.
  
  
• Sales Enablement & Support: Conduct tooling setup, run sample parts, and develop sales tools to support the Sales team. Perform time studies and feasibility requests as needed.
  
  
• Technical Troubleshooting & Acceptance Testing: Troubleshoot and correct complex customer application issues on-site or at the Solution Center. Perform all required run-off acceptance tests for new equipment.
  
  
• Continuous Development: Maintain the quality condition of all demonstration machines. Participate in continuous software and hardware training by traveling to the international headquarters (Italy) 1-2 times per year.
  
  
• Collaboration & Travel: Provide technical expertise to internal departments, cooperate with external fixture companies on design/engineering, and maintain professional customer relationships. This role requires up to 30% travel.
