salary: $52,000 - $72,800 per year

Responsibilities

To be considered for this position, candidates must accurately and efficiently operate equipment including Milling machines, engine lathes, surface grinders, band saws, ProtoTrak SMX hybrid CNC/manual mills, and SL20 HAAS CNC Lathes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production: Review customer drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations. Design and build fixtures/jigs for unique setups.

  • Programming & Setup: Adjust offsets and programs to maintain strict tolerances; work from shop prints and travelers.

  • Quality Control: Conduct in-process inspections using calipers and micrometers; utilize shop math to verify part accuracy.

  • Maintenance: Perform basic equipment upkeep, including light mechanical repairs and monthly coolant maintenance.

  • Shop Support: Assist with deburring, tapping, and assembly; maintain accurate digital and physical production records.

  • Safety: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on machining experience.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in shop math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry) and reading technical drawings/models.

  • Tools: Must own a personal set of Machinist?s tools and be expert with precision measurement tools (calipers/micrometers).

  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina are required
