Controls Engineer needed for an awesome direct hire opportunity north of Boston, MA. Our well established organization is seeking a person with a BSEE, a great background in Allen Bradley, and the drive to manage all aspects of plant controls and electrical systems to include electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, as well as the interpretation and creation of control schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

Other technical skills include the knowledge of using AB FactoryTalk View, AutoCAD Electrical, and experience programming using: Siemens, B and R, Schneider, Omron, Beckhoff, and AutomationDirect controllers

responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of plant controls and electrical systems to include electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, as well as the interpretation and creation of control schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Design, build and maintain automated conveyor and packaging equipment, robotic cells, industrial communications networks, etc

  • Oversee electrical team: design, draft, red-line, & organize wiring schematics and system drawings

  • Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI programs

  • Professionally interact with internal and external stakeholders sharing technical expertise for plant processes and improvements
Qualifications

  • BSEE along with 5+ years related experience within industrial automation using Allen Bradley PLC Programming Software, FactoryTalk View

  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical for creation of control schematics

  • Proven knowledge PLC/HMI programming for automated conveyor and packaging equipment

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices is key Food industry a plus!

  • Must have a proven enthusiastic personality and an obvious passion for industrial automation with the ability to share new ideas across many levels of stakeholders.

  • Experience programming using Siemens, B and R, Schneider, Omron, Beckhoff, AutomationDirect controllers is a huge plus!

  • Proven computer skills including the use of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and scheduling tools.
