Client located just outside of Indianapolis is in need of a controls engineer. Looking for someone who has worked with building capital equipment. Need a well rounded person, who has good PLC experience as well as experience with robotics. Salary will be based on experience. This role requires: a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, PLC programming experience, and Robotics experience. You must have experience working with mechanical systems operated by pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controllers.

responsibilities:

• Write machine PLC and HMI programming to Acieta or customer specification.
  
  
• Perform peripheral device programming, including robots, vision, motion control.
  
  
• Perform machine debug and validation to ensure full functionality of the system.
  
  
• Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets.
  
  
• Provide clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise.
  
  
• Assist with the concept and help develop hardware requirements and design.
  
  
• Ability to travel on average 25% - 35%
