Client located just outside of Indianapolis is in need of a controls engineer. Looking for someone who has worked with building capital equipment. Need a well rounded person, who has good PLC experience as well as experience with robotics. Salary will be based on experience. This role requires: a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, PLC programming experience, and Robotics experience. You must have experience working with mechanical systems operated by pneumatics, hydraulics, motor controllers.

responsibilities:

Write machine PLC and HMI programming to Acieta or customer specification.
Perform peripheral device programming, including robots, vision, motion control.
Perform machine debug and validation to ensure full functionality of the system.
Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets.
Provide clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise.
Assist with the concept and help develop hardware requirements and design.
Ability to travel on average 25% - 35%
