Employment Information

Our client is seeking an Integration Engineer with power systems design depth to lead the design of complex protection, control, and automation systems for mission-critical electrical infrastructure. This role is focused on end-to-end system design - from concept through vendor-ready documentation - with minimal reliance on vendors for clarification.

This position is ideal for an engineer who has designed complete electrical and control systems, issued final design packages, and supported equipment through manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.

responsibilities:
  • Design end-to-end protection, control, and automation systems using SEL, ABB, and Siemens relays, including MTM transfer schemes and IEC 61850-based logic.

  • Develop site-wide Sequences of Operation (SOO) and vendor-ready design documentation for complex power systems.

  • Engineer PLC / RTAC-based automation systems for generator plants, load shedding, load management, and system interlocks.

  • Design and validate mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interlock systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

  • Lead vendor coordination, submittal reviews, and Factory Witness Testing (FAT) to ensure equipment meets design intent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in power systems (switchgear design), protection & control, or industrial automation design.

  • Hands-on experience with medium-voltage systems and SEL / ABB / Siemens protection relays; OEM experience strongly preferred.
