Full time-Direct Hire Process Metallurgist is needed for a client local to the New Castle, PA area. Hiring manager is targeting a candidate with a few years of experience working as a Plant/Process Metallurgist from within the steel/foundry industry or something similar. Client is offering a base salary, 15% bonus, full relocation assistance, yearly profit sharing, benefits/401 K/stock options and a potential future career path.

responsibilities:

• Works to improve process and product to meet customer requirements. Runs trials and leads improvement efforts.
  
  
• Provides technical guidance for all phases of production operations including melting, teeming, thermal handling, and remelting ingots/billets.
  
  
• Oversees the investigation and disposition of non-conforming material (NCMs).Performs failure investigations on customer returns/claims.
  
  
• Interacts with customers on technical issues and provides technical training for them as needed.Instructs the Sales department by providing technical guidance and creation/revision of E-grades and remelt profiles to meet customer needs.Maintains and drafts new procedures for production operations and quality system management.
  
  
• Responsible for developing and leading quality training for EQS employees.
  
  
• Reviews production schedule and processing records to ensure that Operations follows procedures and sound metallurgical practices.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environmentwearing steel toe shoesworking in a non-temperature controlled environmentstanding for 4 hours at one timeworking up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
