A client of ours is hiring for an experienced Staff Accountant in the Louisville downtown area. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated employee whom is familiar with managing general ledger functions, performing comprehensive account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of our their financial reporting. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
Manage the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing month-end and year-end close procedures, and reconciling all accounts.
Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, providing analysis of variances and contributing to financial planning.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, monitoring collections, and reconciling subsidiary ledgers.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations, and ensuring controls are maintained.
