We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end fabrication of high-quality metal components, ensuring every joint meets our rigorous structural standards. While this is not an immediate opening, we are proactively identifying and vetting skilled professionals to be presented to our client for priority hiring as new contracts begin.

Responsibilities
- Reading Blueprints: Interpreting technical drawings, symbols, and specifications to understand the required weld types and dimensions.
- Material Selection: Determining the appropriate welding method (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) based on the specific metals and alloys being used.
- Precision Welding: Fusing metals in various positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead) while maintaining a steady hand and consistent speed.
- Component Alignment: Using clamps, rulers, and calipers to ensure all parts are perfectly aligned before the final weld is applied.
- Visual Inspection: Checking finished welds for common flaws like porosity (holes), cracks, undercut, or slag inclusions.
- Testing: Assisting with or performing non-destructive testing (NDT) such as dye penetrant or ultrasonic tests to ensure internal weld strength.
- Rework: Identifying and grinding out faulty welds to re-weld them to the required standard.
