Manufacturing company with locations nationwide is targeting an Automation Engineer for their facility in the Columbia SC area. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Level II Process Automation experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.

BS in Engineering or related technical/military training required.

responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automation systems for various production processes.
  
  
• Design and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation components.
  
  
• Design and maintain SQL/Oracle databases for production logs, material tracking, and historical data analysis.
  
  
• Analyze automated processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  
  
• Provide technical support for automation systems and equipment.
  
  
• Manage any automation projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, and execution.

Requirements:

• BS Electrical Engineering or similar required
  
  
• 3+ years of industrial automation experience required
  
  
• Experience programming PLCs from scratch desired, HMIs as well
