The Cost Accountant will oversee the end-to-end cost accounting process, from analyzing manufacturing variances to maintaining accurate inventory valuations. You will partner with production and supply chain teams to identify waste, streamline processes, and ensure financial reporting accurately reflects manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis: Develop and maintain standard costs for all products, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Variance Reporting: Conduct monthly analysis of manufacturing variances (price, efficiency, and volume) and provide detailed explanations to leadership.
- Inventory Management: Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counting programs; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Margin Analysis: Analyze product profitability and provide reports that highlight high and low-performing product lines.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts related to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency through rigorous data analysis.
- Audit Support: Prepare necessary schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
