We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team, specifically focusing on Plumbing and Mechanical systems for new construction projects. This role involves the full lifecycle of the takeoff process, from initial drawing review to final pricing input.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Sector Expertise: At least one year of direct experience in Mechanical or Plumbing estimation for new construction.
- Blueprint Literacy: Highly proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and mechanical diagrams.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with takeoff software is required; specific experience with AutoBid is a significant advantage.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to resolve discrepancies during the takeoff phase and make informed decisions on material requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Must be able to work closely with senior leadership to finalize bids under tight deadlines.
- Availability: Must be flexible to work overtime or weekends during high-volume bid cycles.

Responsibilities
- System Takeoffs: Perform comprehensive fixture and material takeoffs for both Plumbing and HVAC scopes using industry-standard software.
- Data Integration: Input takeoff data into spreadsheets and manage digital project folders to ensure high organization across all active bids.
- Technical Analysis: Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and contract specifications to ensure all project requirements are captured.
- Compliance Review: Evaluate all takeoffs against local building codes (Florida standards) to ensure strict adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
