Seeking a Plating Technician 1st Shift for a high growth manufacturing client in the Woburn, MA area.

The Plating Technician would work 1st shift Shift Schedule: 10 Hour Shifts; 4:30AM-3:00PM, M-TH and would be responsible for being actively involved in various processes within the plating department including wet processes such as aluminum, copper, nickel, gold, and glass plating. The position will also facilitate wastewater and boiler operation.

responsibilities:
  • Production & Scheduling:

  • Work to a daily schedule and consistently meet or exceed output targets.

  • Understand and follow product flow and material handling procedures.

  • Material Handling & Data Management:

  • Utilize a computer for inputting and reviewing data to track and move materials.

  • Use forklifts and hand jacks to move materials.

  • Chemical & Process Operations:

  • Accurately weigh and sequence chemicals and materials.

  • Ensure safe chemical handling and hazardous waste disposal, including wearing required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and completing ongoing training.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on chemical machines.

  • Assist Process Engineers with chemical process evaluations.

  • Documentation & Communication:

  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately.

  • Communicate problems and issues between departments.

  • Teamwork & Other Duties:

  • Work cross-functionally with the milling team as needed.
