Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes using G-code or CAM software
Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and drill presses for repair or prototype work
Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
Perform manual layouts and calculations for unique workpieces
Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, and speeds based on material type
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine preventative maintenance
