A leading defense and aerospace manufacturer in Long Island, NY is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Mechanical Assembler to join its production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical and electronic components and subassemblies used in high-reliability systems for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and follow engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and assembly instructions.
Perform precision soldering (including SMT and through-hole components) to IPC standards.
Assemble cables, harnesses, circuit boards, and electrical panels.
Conduct inspections and functional tests on completed assemblies.
Identify and report defective components or equipment malfunctions.
Maintain production logs and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
5+ years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
IPC-610/620 or J-STD-001 certification is a plus
Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
