About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Class B Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Ronkonkoma. In this role, you will work under limited supervision to fabricate both basic and intricate components for a wide variety of advanced systems. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in manual machining and a commitment to precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication: Perform manual milling and lathe operations to produce high-quality parts.
  
  
• CNC Operation: Execute some computerized machining tasks as required by system specifications.
  
  
• Quality Control: Maintain strict specifications by observing operations, taking precise measurements, and detecting malfunctions.
  
  
• Troubleshooting: Adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen or replace worn tooling, and troubleshoot processes to ensure continuous production.
  
  
• Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, follow manufacturer instructions, and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  
  
• Safety & Standards: Adhere to all safety regulations and quality assurance procedures to maintain a secure and efficient workspace.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2?3 years of prior experience specifically as a Manual Machinist.
  
  
• Technical Skills: strong proficiency in Manual Milling and Lathe machining.
  
  
• Mathematics: Solid understanding of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  
  
• Soft Skills: strong attention to detail, functional/technical conceptual skills, and sound judgment.
  
  
• Location: Candidates must currently reside on Long Island, NY.
